Don’t Let Bernie’s Courage Be in Vain
If his fight is lost, our future is lost — it's that simple.

What a remarkable figure, what a shining example Bernie Sanders is, who, at 83 years old, fights so vigorously for a better future that he himself won’t be able to see or enjoy! I’m deeply touched by this man’s passion for justice, his selflessness, and his incorruptible willingness to speak truth to power and stand up for the weak and vulnerable. We cannot be more fortunate to have such an incredible man among us.
If someone born 1941 can muster the strength and courage to stand up against oligarchy and fascism with such determination, you can, too! Don’t let Bernie’s tireless work and his urgent calls to action be in vain. He is right: the historical significance of this moment cannot be overstated. These are the days that could seal a dark future for generations to come, these are the days where we can still do something to stop it. Make no mistake: this is the most precious opportunity of our lifetime, and we may not get a second chance.
We, the ones who reject oppression and injustice, are the overwhelming majority. And we can’t afford to stay silent. We can’t leave our power untapped. History teaches a clear lesson: a society that doesn’t nip fascism in the bud will pay a million times the price. Let’s drop all the fear, let’s rise up with unwavering resolve, let’s do everything in our power to ensure — as one united front — that the very darkest chapter of human history won’t repeat itself.
The most important message Bernie has ever shared with the American people:
“I know there are a lot of people out there who are feeling angry and frustrated at what’s going on here in Washington, D.C. And some of you may feel a bit hopeless.
So let me say this:
At this particular moment in history, despair is not an option. Giving up is not acceptable. And none of us have the privilege of hiding under the covers. The stakes are just too high.
Let us never forget: Real change only occurs when ordinary people stand up against oppression and injustice — and fight back.
That is the history of the founding of our nation when brave men and women took on the mighty British empire. It is the history of the abolitionist movement, the labor movement, the civil rights movement, the women’s movement, the environmental movement and the gay rights movement.
Yes, the oligarchs are enormously powerful. They have endless amounts of money. They control our economy. They own much of the media. They have enormous influence over our political system.
But, from the bottom of my heart, I am convinced that they can be beaten.
If we stand together and not let them divide us up by the color of our skin or where we were born or our religion or sexual orientation; if we bring our people together around an agenda that works for the many and not the few — there is nothing in the world that can stop us.
We can win. We will win. Let’s go forward together.”
— Sen. Bernie Sanders
Let us stand up without fear. Bernie is an amazing inspiration. I am so thankful for what he is doing. And for you, and all those who spread the word and help us to have courage in these dark times. We will fight, and we will win.
Bernie is a marvel. Democracy burns in his gut. Help the man, please 🇺🇸 Don't make him do it all himself
